Similarly to their rivals, Liverpool have also failed to meet the pre-season expectations, which eventually resulted in change of the team´s head coach. After having been in charge of the team for three years, Brendan Rodgers was recently replaced with the charismatic German manager Jurgen Klopp. Nevertheless, not even “The Normal One”, as Klopp jokingly referred to himself, has managed to improve the team´s performance enough to start winning again. The Reds have played three games under the new coach so far and all of them ended up in draws. In the ninth Premier League round, Liverpool tied with Tottenham (0:0). In the next game which was a Europa League duel at Kazan, the side claimed a 1:1 draw and they took the same result in their last league match against Southampton. But Liverpool claimed draws in the last two games even before Klopp was appointed in charge of the team, which means the current draw series has already extended to five consecutive games. In the last league match against Southampton though, the Reds looked to be heading for a victory and they only got denied at the very end of the game after the Saints scored a lucky equalizer.
